Transwaste is proud to announce a new partnership with local charity; Hull 4 Heroes.

Hull 4 Heroes is an incredible local charity that offers voluntary assistance to Veterans, creating and transforming homes, café’s and service centres, and supporting integration into civilian life.

Transwaste will be supporting Hull 4 Heroes by promoting the charity across the city on over 100 skips.

The partnership started thanks to Transwaste driver, Al, who happened to pass by one of the Hull 4 Heroes projects, and decided to take a closer look. Once the team heard about the charity and it’s fantastic services, Transwaste was keen to be involved and offer support by spreading the word. Sales and Marketing Manager; Nicola met with the charity founder; Paul Matson to establish exactly how they could get started.

Hull 4 Heroes and Transwaste recently made the partnership official at the inspiring project; Zero Delta – the charity’s largest build to date. The project is a large and long-term renovation project on a veteran’s home in Hull, which he had initially started himself.

The veteran, after surviving many tours of duty in war torn countries, has suffered further tragedy on his return, after visiting the doctors and receiving some devastating test results that him and his family could never have expected. The veteran had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease, a progressive disease involving degeneration of the motor neurons and wasting of the muscles.

Hull 4 Heroes have taken over the project and are working with the help and support of volunteers to give him a completed and adapted home for him and his family to enjoy.

The charity rely on the support of local tradesman, women, volunteers and donations to make what they do possible, Transwaste is so grateful to offer any support possible to such a worthwhile charity within our city.

If you are able to offer your services and help a veteran in need please email volunteers@hull4heroes.co.uk
